Difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep can lead to distressing worries about sleep. Worrying about not getting "good" or "enough" sleep can exacerbate these issues. Treatment for insomnia involves learning good "sleep hygiene," as well as learning how to put those worry thoughts about sleep to bed.
